A user account allows you to upload files to our site, and utilize our services to monetize your content. Owning a user account does not give you the ability to download files from our site without completing an offer. Premium credits used to download files need to be purchased with your earnings balance, requiring you to be actively earning with our site.

Submitting spam applications will result in a permanent IP ban from our site.

SSN Information

Why do we need this?
Independent contractors and other people who work for themselves will need to report their Social Security Number or business tax identification number to their corresponding business entity. This information is required so that the requesting party (FileIce LLC) can properly issue tax documents to the IRS. We also require SSN's as a form of identity verification. This way when you sign up we can ensure you are the person you are claiming to be, and avoid future problems down the road.

Penalties
Failure to furnish SSN: If you fail to furnish your correct SSN to a requester, you are subject to a penalty of $50 for each such failure unless your failure is due to reasonable cause and not to willful neglect. Civil penalty for false information with respect to withholding: If you make a false statement with no reasonable basis that results in no backup withholding, you are subject to a $500 penalty. Criminal penalty for falsifying information: Willfully falsifying certifications or affirmations may subject you to criminal penalties including fines and/or imprisonment. Falsifying an SSN: Providing an illegitimate SSN to the requesting party (FileIce LLC) may result in criminal charges such as imprisonment and/or fines, and you will be subject to backup withholding.

What is backup withholding?
Persons making certain payments to you must under certain conditions withhold your payments and pay to the IRS a percentage of such payments until you have completed the necessary steps to remove the backup withholding penalty. This is called "backup withholding". Payments that may be subject to backup withholding include interest, tax-exempt interest, dividends, broker and barter exchange transactions, rents, royalties, nonemployee pay, and certain payments from fishing boat operators. Real estate transactions are not subject to backup withholding. You will not be subject to backup withholding on payments you receive if you give the requester your correct SSN, make the proper certifications, and report all your taxable interest and dividends on your tax return.

You will be subject to backup withholding if:
1. You do not furnish your SSN to the requester.
2. You do not certify your SSN when required.
3. The IRS tells the requester that you furnished an incorrect SSN.
4. The IRS tells you that you are subject to backup withholding because you did not report all your interest and dividends on your tax return (for reportable interest and dividends only).
